The Department of Energy's Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (CSGF) is a four-year fellowship funding PhD research with strong computational components. Support includes full tuition, $45k/yr stipend, $1k annual professional development funding, a 12-week mandatory practicum at a DoE National Lab, an annual program review conference in DC. The fellowship is available to undergrad seniors, current master's students changing institutions, first-year grad students, employed individuals, and possibly others. Apply here
The program has more than 550 alumni as of Fall 2021. A recent survey indicates that alumni felt very positively about the fellowship and that it has since shaped many of their career trajectories. Many alumni remain active, collaborating with each other and current fellows.
The CSGF Alumni Association is registered 501(c)(6) non-profit.
